Morning
Worship Service
Sundays at 10:30 A.M. in the Auditorium
This service is an opportunity to sing praises to God and
study his Word. Teaching is usually centred around the study
of a specific book of the Bible or occasionally on a specific
theme. At DBC, our worship services include a mixture of both
contemporary and traditional songs, with both live accompaniment
and pre-recorded musical accompaniment.
Evening
Service
Sundays at 6:30 P.M. in the Auditorium
This service is a little more casual than the morning service
and provides the opportunity to ask questions and interact
with the teacher. In our "Thru The Bible" series
we are studying verse by verse through the Bible from Genesis
to Revelation. Please note that no evening services are scheduled
during holiday weekends.
Mid-week
Prayer and Bible Study
Wednesdays at 7 P.M. in the Friendship Room
Spend time with other Christians as we pray for the various
needs and concerns of our church and community. This gathering
also includes a time of singing and a brief Bible lesson from
God's Word. For many, this is a time of encouragement and
refreshment in the midst of a hectic week.
Ladies'
Fellowship
The ladies meet at the church every third Saturday of the
month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for brunch, a time of fellowship
and devotion, as well to pray for each other and our missionaries.
(No meetings for July and August)
Men's Fellowship
Men's meeting is on
the third Saturday of each month in the Church Auditorium
at 9.30am -11:00am
Seniors'
Fellowship
Facilitated by Marion Alexander, this group meets on the first
Thursday of each month for a time of fellowship and encouragement
from God's Word.
KICK-Start
Sundays at 10:30 A.M. in the Friendship Room
KICK-Start is our Children's Church program which runs simultaneous
to the morning worship service. The "KICK" stands
for "Kids In Christ's Kingdom," and our goal is
to give kids the kick start they need towards making a life-long
commitment to Jesus Christ. Each KICK-Start program begins
with "Kidz Worship," which is an opportunity for
all the kids to gather and sing their favourite worship and
Bible songs. After this, the kids split off into their age-appropriate
classes to enjoy Bible stories or studies, crafts, interesting
activities, and refreshments. Classes are available for ages
3 all the way up to 14.
Nursery
Care
During the Sunday morning worship service, a nursery is available
for parents whose children are not old enough for the KICK-Start
program. Babies ages 0 to 2 can be dropped off and cared for
as parents attend the morning service. For those parents who
would prefer to remain with their babies, a Parent's Lounge
is also provided which is equipped with a live video feed
from the auditorium, so that parents can stay with their babies
and yet still participate in the service without causing a
disturbance.
The
Exchange: a 20’s and 30’s ministry
The Exchange is a ministry with a focus on young adults. We
meet each Sunday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a
time of worship, prayer, and authentic conversation about
God, His world, and how we fit into it all!
Young
Adults Bible Study
Meets every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The Bible study seeks to
study God’s word and compare our lives against it through
discussion. A time to fellowship, as well as challenge and
pray with other believers in a small group dynamic. Contact
info for weekly location: jess.reynolds@hotmail.com.
Youth:
Junior High and Senior High
Friday night Y.U.C. (Youth Under Construction) is our youth
group. This is a time when we get together over food, play
games, and discuss relevant issues about life. We meet at
the church. Feel free to join us for supper, games, and engaging
talks! We eat at 6 pm and finish at 9 pm. (Rides available
home.)
Youth Church combines junior and senior high youth as we dig
into God’s word and talk about His work in our lives.
Youth Church meets in the youth room each Sunday morning during
the service.
ESL
Class
Sundays after the morning service please join us for a light
lunch and conversation for an hour. This is a great opportunity
to become more familiar and comfortable with the English language
as we get to know people from other parts of the world.
